Musical Theater Summer Camp - Session 1 (7 years +)
with MTC Teaching Artists
Age Range: 7 to 15-years-old
Session 1: June 10-June 14; June 17-June 18; June 20-June 21; June 24-June 28; July 1-July 3 (No Camp June 19, July 4 or July 5)
Performance Date: July 3
Days of the week: Monday through Friday
Times: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Duration: 4-week session
Where: Miami Theater Center (9806 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami Shores 33138)
Fee: $1,400 (NO REFUND POLICY)
It’s time to make a play! Campers will create their very own musical theater production with the support of theater-loving peers and the guidance of professional teaching artists. Whether it’s a camper’s first of tenth time joining us, our staff will meet the campers at their individual skill level and encourage their growth.
We believe there is always something new to learn, especially in the creative world of storytelling. Each camp session also includes singing, dancing and acting dancing classes, plus fun drama games and daily opportunities to showcase individual or group performances. Lunch is included for all campers *
Working in small groups, campers will:
- pitch and write story ideas
- learn how to tell a story collaborate as part of an ensemble
- enhance problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- perform on stage
- receive peer and instructor feedback

- Introduction to theater language

- Dance and choral movement (choreography, coordination, spatial awareness, timing, etc.)

Time: 4:30pm to 6:30pm
Spotlight Kids Dates 2024/2025:
- Start Date Week of September 9th, 2024 (tution is non refundable after the 1st week of program commencing)
- Final Show Schedule
- Tech May 12th & 13th
- Invited Dress Rehearsal May 14th
- Public Performance May 15th & 16th
Would your young performer like to be in a full-scale musical theater production? Then this program is perfect – meeting Mondays and Wednesdays all year long, participants will star in a musical theater production performed for friends and family on the MTC main stage!
SPOTLIGHT KIDS - Tue/Thu (Ages 8+)

Days of the week: Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 4:30pm to 6:30pm
Spotlight Kids Dates 2024/2025:
